Kristina Berasain (Lizarra, Navarre, 1973) is a journalist in the world section of the newspaper BERRIA.
She has paid special attention to the conflicts that have been forgotten over the years.
She has written a lot about Western Sahara .
In 2005 she was expelled from the territory when she went to report on the intifada.
Ten years later she managed to enter the occupied territories.
She is the author of the documentary ‘Messages from the Western Sahara’ with the testimonies collected during that trip.
She is one of the only journalists who has traveled to three areas where Sahrawis live: she has been to the occupied territories, the liberated territories and the refugee camps in Tindouf (Algeria).
